  • Los Angeles City Council honors SBSM

"On June 20, 2008 Sound Body Sound Mind was honored by the entire Los Angeles City Council. The foundation's founders, Cindy and Bill Simon, were on hand to be recognized by the council for their leadership of the program and the important contributions it has made the Los Angeles community by promoting healthy and balanced lifestyles among the region's youth. Council member Bill Rosendahl, District 11, helped lead the effort to recognize Sound Body Sound Mind and has been a strong advocate on the council for the program and its work. During the council's meeting on June 20th, the program was acknowledged and praised for its efforts over the past 8 years, including an impact on thousands of Los Angeles area youth since inception and presence in 50 Los Angeles Unified School District high schools."
